ABOUT

Aloha,

My name is Giorgi. GQ swimwear is a woman owned and operated brand based in Hawaii. The passion and desire to start this brand started when I was a young girl. The vision didn't become a reality until 2019 during the pandemic when I finally had the time to dedicate the dream of putting my skills and creativity to life.

I was born and raised on a spec in the middle of the pacific where I learned to thrive in the natural elements. I grew up eating homegrown papayas and climbing plumeria trees. Many days were spent hiking in the mountains or snorkeling around in the ocean. These childhood memories are what inspire me and direct me throughout life. Throughout my life I have moved where the wind has taken me. I have lived in the stunning mountains of Utah, historic towns of Massachusetts, the beautiful sailing community of Newport Rhode Island, surf culture scene of San Diego and finally back home to sweet Hawaii. All these places have shaped me and really shown me what is most important in life.

At the age of 26 I started Giorgi Quigg Swim with the hopes to tie all my passions, love for culture and the ocean together.

I started hand making swimwear in my studio and eventually expanded my brand to a manufacturer located in Indonesia. I'm now working with a lovely local team in indo. The pandemic was a hard time for many. During this time I was in my sampling stage and for every order I made a percentage of the profits went towards feeding local families in Indonesia.

Brand Goals

I’m aiming to make fabric and suits that flow with the circle of life instead of alter the natural cycle and destroy our resources. I’m starting at the bottom so I still have a lot to learn and many adjustments to make before I am fully a complete eco-friendly brand. For now our swimwear and packaging are made with the highest quality of recycled materials made from fishnets, ocean debris and plastic bottles.

Thank you for your support!

-Giorgi
